Warming up isn’t the most exciting part of our workouts, but is essential if you want to stay healthy and perform at the highest levels.

If you are using one of our Workout Template, then you’ll see that we’ve added three sections at the top for these types of drills.

  1. Soft Tissue – Mobility
  2. Activation
  3. Locomotion – SAQ

The main purpose of warming up is to avoid injury.

With the amount of guys pulling out of fights because of injury, this stuff cannot be overlooked.

Below you will find a variety of different warm ups drills. Try em out, continue learning and apply to the beginning of your workouts.

Once you assess the athlete, you can customize this warm up to address their needs.  I believe this is a great time to address weak links in the body, as well as prime the body and mind for the workout they are about to perform.

When done consistently, you should notice improved performance in your workouts and reduced incidence of minor aches and pains.
